Facing supply chain disruptions in automotive production? Time to rev up those strategies! 🚗💨 First, have you ever considered a diversified supplier base? Relying on a single source is like putting all your eggs in one engine! What happens if that engine stalls? Next, think about building safety stock—because who doesn’t love a little inventory cushion? It’s like having a spare tire; you hope you never need it, but when you do, you’ll be glad it’s there! Lastly, embrace technology. Why not harness predictive analytics to foresee disruptions? After all, wouldn’t you rather be the driver than the passenger in this turbulent ride? In these unpredictable times, adaptability isn’t just a buzzword—it’s your best friend. Ready to shift gears? ✨

That's why you need Suppliers as your friends...in automotive industry when your manager, your colleagues deny to stand with you during crisis..... there will be only 'supplier' who can come to your aid...make Great relationships with your supllier first, before making useless strategies inside your mind, you need to win over the suppliers, so if one supplier stops other can come to your help ....the connection there will be more Human than just normal official business....Senior level egoistic managers needs to understand this first, that blaming suplliers and disrespecting them won't help you in long termm, so keep your ego aside and work hand in hand with your Suppliers, THATS THE KEY

Most people will be hitting on the same topics; buffer, diversify, alternative, etc., but if we have another unforeseeable pandemic like COVID. Let's see what successful companies have done: Hyundai (Korean), made a deal with Korean transistors manufacturers for exclusive and priority supply. Countries like the US, China, Korea, Germany, among others, blocked the export to prioritize domestic companies (look for government coverage) Companies with no supply alternative, kept production running missing components, assembling them after the shortage ended. All these strategies are emergency containment, that's what I call disruption, any other problem it is because you didn't do your homework properly and left yourself exposed.

Numbers wont lie in the long run and as commonly said what you can't measure you can't manage as well. Its Key to have an ability to scale the disruption to come up with effective counter measures. For example minor delays that come in a 'regular pattern' can be included in leadtime to supply. For this minimum stock safety level adjustment is enough countermeasure to get you out of the woods. However wider scope disruptions from Key suppliers require deeper strategies. For example if a pandemic hits and restricts normal business then the scale changes; It requires monitoring expected demand, adjusting your processing speed and capacity as well as exploring new supply channels and methods.
