All of the above - and - also be clear about what you don’t know. It’s better than platitudes or a made up story. Share what you are doing to find out and when you will share updates. Some journeys are on well trodden paths and others are more exploratory. These different kinds journeys require different types of leadership, narration and decision making. Most importantly- do not forget that you are dealing with people who have a say in their own careers. They are not obliged to follow your path and should be encouraged to and respected when they make their own decisions. Provide them honestly with clear and accurate information that enables these decisions and do not ever try to mislead.

Remember that all our suppliers are our arms that support many critical business processes and any incident in their performance could be catastrophic for our organization.
