My intial answer is pre-emptive - as overall attitude is addressed before the rehearsals even begin. This is determined by discussing and establishing clear expectations around our culture and how we want to behave towards each other as a theatre family and community first. This understanding is helpful in preventing toxicity from seeping into the team as it can be reminded and nurtured throughout all activities.
