Cuando un cliente pide soluciones rápidas, trato de no comprometer la usabilidad a largo plazo. Como UX y product designer con background en ingeniería, soy claro en establecer expectativas: les explico que los “arreglos rápidos” suelen traer problemas a futuro. En lugar de eso, propongo un plan en fases que cubre sus necesidades urgentes sin hipotecar la calidad del producto. También les muestro los riesgos de soluciones apresuradas con ejemplos prácticos y les doy opciones, para que tomemos decisiones informadas juntos. Así logramos el equilibrio entre lo inmediato y lo duradero, cuidando tanto el producto como la relación con el cliente.

One thing I honestly tell clients forcing timelines...if it's possible, consider it done, if it's not possible or compromises any aspect of delivery/quality, then no force can make it happen.

Lo ideal es tener claro desde el principio los pros y contras de la tarea a realizar. De esa manera estas en un espectro amplio de respuestas/soluciones llevando al minimo las sorpresas. Eso te ayuda a setear bien las expectativas del cliente.

Implement modular, scalable solutions that can be expanded or refined later. Document all changes for future reference, and plan for follow-up improvements. This way, you meet immediate needs without sacrificing the project’s overall stability and growth.

For a situation like this, I will first follow the most concerned part of the project, and side by side, I make a document with a Loom video explanation that highlights the future scaling parts of the project. I always use it, and it works every time. This way, I address the immediate concerns but also make sure the client understands the bigger picture. Cheers
