Inicialmente, é importante avaliar quais áreas do projeto tem maior impacto ambiental e quais melhorias poderiam ser adotadas para promover benefícios para o projeto. Dentro deste contexto, podem ser soluções voltadas para a escolha dos materiais, eficiência energética, reciclagem e reutilização. Também é válido construir parcerias com fornecedores que ofereçam produtos sustentáveis. Além disso, é interessante incluir a equipe e o cliente de modo que eles possam acompanhar de perto os vantagens da adoção de práticas sustentáveis.

Toda empresa precisa de um planejamento orçamentário e, muitas vezes, não há uma verba específica para a sustentabilidade, afinal, quantas empresas a enxergam como gasto? Nessa situação, eu iria propor para o cliente a criação de indicadores, como: consumo de água, de energia, quantidade de geração de resíduos, adequação da logística reversa e os gastos envolvidos com esses indicadores, para então identificar qual a melhor estratégia para reduzir custos e, estar preparada para multas e outras infrações, caso não faça o mínimo necessário.
