1. Assess the Request Thoroughly 2. Identify Feasible Alternatives 3. Explain Technical Limitations Clearly 4. Present a Compromise 5. Outline the Impact on Budget and Timeline 6. Reinforce Your Commitment to Quality 7. Follow Up with Documentation This balanced approach allows you to navigate unfeasible requests while preserving client trust and maintaining project integrity.

When facing an impossible client request in 3D modeling, I prioritize clear, constructive communication. First, I assess the request’s feasibility and prepare alternative solutions that align with the client’s vision but fit within the project’s technical limits. I explain the constraints transparently, highlighting how proposed adjustments still achieve their goals. This collaborative approach helps manage expectations and often leads to a solution that satisfies the client while respecting the project’s realistic scope and timelines.

I cannot imagine a situation where something is impossible from a production standpoint. There may be things that go beyond my skill set (for example, animation or procedural generation), but in such cases, I recommend acquaintances who could handle such tasks and in whom I have confidence A case may arise when a client demands a task within impossible timeframes. In such situations, we discuss options where we reduce the scope of tasks, lower the quality bar of the final product, or involve additional specialists, and choose the option that is optimal for the client

When a client asks the impossible, it's often because they don't know what, exactly, is possible. An open discourse and clarification of options is my first step, and then finding solutions once the core need is clear.

Choosing the right 3D modelling software is essential for managing complex projects smoothly, especially when factoring in critical steps like retopology for optimising models. Start by aligning software capabilities with project needs—scope, team size, skill level, timeline, and precision requirements. Use parametric tools like Fusion 360, Inventor, or SolidWorks for engineering projects. Look at Blender, zBrush, 3DsMax or Maya for creative, organic designs. Then consider production needs like printability, supports, materials, and assembly. Thoughtful software selection boosts team productivity, saves time, and ensures high-quality, client-ready results.

I would create a small example to illustrate why the request may not work as expected. This can help the client understand visually rather than through explanation alone, or not 😒...

Me siento con el cliente y despejo nuevamente todas sus y mis dudas con respecto al modelado. Busco plantearle diferentes ideas y puntos de vista hasta que se llegue a un acuerdo.
