This takes me to a time when it was 11pm & I was attending my third webinar of the day. The host’s drone of slides was so bad that I was googling ‘how to fake a power outage.’ During webinars, I’ve seen hosts fail by sticking to ‘one-size-fits-all,’ and it’s like dancing to silence. Don’t be that host! (n this is really why I shy from hosting webinars :))....My suggestion- pump in energy! Start by calling out names, sharing quirky icebreakers, and keeping content tight. I once saw a speaker use memes to explain financial data—it was genius. If you blend substance with surprises, you’ll be the rockstar who keeps everyone—from sleepy me to super-serious folks—wide awake.

To keep a global virtual audience engaged, speak clearly and use simple words so everyone can follow. Add visuals like pictures or examples to make your points interesting and easy to understand. Involve the audience by asking questions, using polls, or having a chat discussion. Be mindful of cultural differences and treat everyone with respect. Adjust your tone and speaking speed based on the audience to ensure your message is clear and keeps their attention.

No matter how diverse your audience may be, they’ve likely tuned in for the same or similar reasons. Identify what those reasons are, and ensure your content and delivery help fulfill, if not inch closer, to those reasons.
