When I’m drowning in work and personal obligations, I focus on staying organized and prioritizing tasks. I break everything down into smaller, manageable steps and set deadlines to avoid feeling overwhelmed. I also make sure to ask for help when needed and delegate tasks where possible. To manage stress, I rely on regular gym sessions and long walks to clear my mind and recharge. These activities help me stay focused and energized. By staying organized, setting clear boundaries, and making time for my well-being, I can manage stress and maintain balance.

Finding balance amidst work and personal obligations starts with patience and a clear mindset. I believe in prioritizing what truly matters and taking one step at a time. At work, delegation and time management are key, while in personal life, setting boundaries ensures I don’t stretch myself too thin. Balance is not about perfection but about making intentional choices—sometimes it’s completing a project, and other times, it’s simply taking a moment to breathe and reconnect with loved ones. Stress is inevitable, but I see it as an opportunity to pause, reflect, and recalibrate. Balance is the foundation of a fulfilled life.

Even when I’m swamped, I still carve out my morning gym routine. It puts me in the right mindset and helps me stay focused throughout the day. Then it’s a matter of prioritizing and making sure you don’t have your day hijacked with other people’s “urgent” issues that can actually wait. Boundary setting is key.

My executive clients find it useful to learn how to do EFT tapping - Emotional Freedom Technique. It's proven to relieve stress by reducing amygdala activation, i.e. bloodflow to the amygdala, the stress centre in your brain. This results in sizeable drops in cortisol (a main stress hormone) of 43% in just one session. It's an excellent self-help tool that you can use in minutes. With a calm, clear and focused mind, you will not only feel less stressed, but you will see the answers you need more easily. Then you will tackle your to-do list faster and more effectively, which will help your stress levels too.
