I always ask, What is the client expecting from us? It shifts focus from internal battles to external goals. At the end of the day, the project is not about us - it is about delivering results. I have also noticed in my career that most conflicts come from a lack of clarity, not bad intentions. And most important is when two team members are clashing, a well-placed short discussion on "is this clash really important?" can sometimes ease the heat because if we keep debating, we might win an award for longest meeting. It is important to show them the bigger picture.
