Optimising the amount of outstation travel has reduced carbon footprint and costs, and after initial disgruntlement by some, everyone settles down to it. 2. Solar deployment which recovers cost really fast. 3. Severe reduction of waste in process and material. We've done waste audits, removed frills and fancies that have limited motivational value but large footprints. 4. Parallely, design changes to see if Scope 1 reduction is possible within budget, is done. But very slowly.

Make use of day light 4. Make use of solar and wind power 5. Switch of lights and AC when not in use 6. Harvest Rain water 7. Plant native and local trees And many more When it comes to industries; the basic of Avoid, Recycle and Reuse remains the same. There's plenty for everyone's need but not for greed! When it comes to greed, any activity becomes unsustainable and tips the boundary of budget. Hence, Responsible Manufacturing and Responsible Advertisement is equally important.

Não acredito em atingir metas de sustentabilidade em projetos a menos que o projeto tenha sido concebido com essa premissa e que o cliente final esteja comprometido com esse propósito. Projetos sustentáveis requerem pessoas que tem esse objetivo como valor e isso inclui todas as partes interessadas, incluindo gestores com capacidade analítica e argumentativa capazes de convencer que o bem comum supera satisfações individualizadas.

It is contextual, for an MNC or such established organisations they would always look in to the ROI in long term or what is the offset they are getting after the implementation of the sustainable technology, also, sometimes these organisations will implement technology not just for ROI but, to get a green initiative tag for their brand or it could be the vision of the top management to adapt sustainable technology. Now coming to SME the game is different, they need their investment back, so, the best option is to consider reducing CAPEX by integrating technology with their current system and then a OPEX can be added to maintain the same this way, the total investment is less and cost saving can be planned much more effectively. It depends!
