It's inevitable the push from leadership for cost and timing, however it's very important to complete the required validation before the introduction.

Para se adotar novos sistemas conectados a melhor solução é contar com o que há de mais moderno em segurança de informação. Normas de segurança cibernética automotiva como a ISO/SAE 21434 foram criadas justamente para proteção dos veículos que, nos primórdios da introdução da eletrônica, continham meras ECUs isoladas que basicamente controlavam a injeção e ignição para redução de emissões. Sem qualquer interação ou compartilhamento de informações com outras partes do veículo, celulares e mundo exterior. Porém apenas seguir os protocolos não basta. Deve-se realizar diversos testes para garantir que os sistemas não permitam qualquer intervenção nos sistemas de segurança veicular e de dados.

As it is said Necessity is mother of Innovation/Invention and whats tomorrow's technology in automotive world is underpredictible. The best way to navigate through is protocols, standardization and regulations. For example when there is surge of BEV push in industry. There was a parallel push for auhtorities and industries to come togther to streamline and define regulatory requirements. I feel in similar way when it comes to balance innovation and safety. we as industry should come together and asses its pros, cons, risks, etc and define the requirements. It also involves rigourous testing and co-relation.

Most important is the question: is this innovation worth and bringing value to the customer/market or to the engineer only? Before evaluating the technical risk, it is essential to investigate the customer value in it. There must be the right balance. If the customer perspective is clear, based on a reasonable foundation, it is easier to communicate that point internally and present a non-abstract vision. That makes it easier for the team to understand the importance and the logic - because they better understand the expected outcome and results. No matter how much a defined process is being pushed - without understanding the logic in it, team members are not able to follow it properly due to many undefined details.
