I think the best way to keep remote volunteer engage is to prioritize virtual video meetings with ur volunteers this will creat a greater sense of belonging and collaboration than traditional audio /mail conversation. Equally creating a generalised forum like WhatsApp groups or slack channels can also help considate volunteers together and keep thier fire burning
