Evaluating vendor performance is essential for consistent success, and I approach it systematically: Clear Expectations: I establish clear KPIs, timelines, and quality benchmarks from the outset to ensure alignment. Regular Monitoring: I track vendor performance against agreed metrics using tools and periodic updates. Transparent Communication: Open dialogue helps address concerns early and maintain alignment on objectives. Feedback & Collaboration: I value a constructive feedback loop, working with vendors to improve outcomes. Review & Improvement: I conduct regular performance reviews to identify gaps and encourage growth. This structured, proactive approach fosters strong partnerships and ensures vendors support long-term success.

Maintaining a strong partnership relationship is a great way to help manage performance. Setting up regular and consistent performance calls to review results, talk through goals and how they are going and work through issues is key to success. If you set your goals and expectations ahead of time, then have frequent calls to review performance and talk about areas to improve, it will vendor focused on the goals, and they will know that they will be expected to discuss them and how they will be successful.

While managing the relationships with our vendors, we continuously assess their performance as this leads to improved business processes overall. We set clear performance expectations and metrics such as KPIs and SLAs. We gather responses from various sources including questionnaires, feedback from within the organization, and reports from the vendors themselves in order to gauge the degree of compliance, timeliness, ability to resolve issues, and the contribution in general. Continuous performance assessment enables performance reviews, which are constructive in letting the parties involved communicate freely. Continuous performance management promotes communication, providing feedback, and dealing with poor performance in a timely manner.
