I will first explore and try it myself to get familiar with the tool and then share and demonstrate to them the values and benefits of using this tool. Then, I will have a training session where I will have the team try it themself.

Overcoming resistance to new virtual collaboration tools begins with clearly communicating the benefits of the tools, such as improved efficiency and streamlined workflows. Provide comprehensive training sessions and easy-to-follow guides to help team members feel confident in using the tools. Address their concerns by actively seeking feedback and adapting implementation plans based on their input. Demonstrate the tool’s effectiveness with small pilot projects or examples of how it solves current pain points.
-
The best way to overcome resistance is to model the positive use and adoption of the new tool. Proving out a tools' value becomes easier the more it is used.

Most people will be resistant to change when we first suggest the change. 1. Encourage openness and honesty about the new tools. Let people express what their fears and hesitations are, as well as what they are excited to try with these tools. 2. Create an open space for questions: Use the collaboration tool itself to create a space for asking questions about the tool. This practice will demonstrate experimentation and use of the tool, as well as creating psychological safety of listing questions without judgement. 3. Experience sharing check-ins. With your team, create a calendar where we will have experience check-ins where people can share best practices and discoveries to spark excitement and buy-in.

There are two points of view. The first one is if our company changes the tools for current employees, we need to comply with the company's rules. We can train them one by one, tell them about the benefits of the new tools, and why we need to change the tools. The second one is for new recruits, I think we can post the requirement on job description and talk about the tools on the interview session.
