Any task involving variety of people has to pass through the following stages Forming, Storming, Norming and Performing. Here there is a formation of CFT, which by its definition suggests that it has involved people from variety of functions perhaps designation and culture too. Forming is done and we have entered into Storming phase that is the phase of conflict, wherein there is only loss, both to individuals and to the CFT as a whole. In this situation, a leader must realise very soon that the next stage to pass is Norming ie setting the norms of performance, behavior and reviews. Once norms are set, communicated, and practice is ensured. The CFT shall shift to Performing stage, which is the core purpose of CFT formation.
