Determine the nature of the conflict. Dig deep, find out the details and frame the nature of the conflict in writing. Is there actually a conflict or is it the surfacing of varying perspectives? In case of an actual conflict do an impact analysis on long-term goals to proceed.

(edited)After establish common ground with the group, creating a road map that everyone buys into is crucial. For each individual, their goals aligning with the overall group's aim is the key to their being continually motivated. In the session ask each group member to write their goals down once more stating that each person's answer will be reviewed in more detail. Then go over again the overview of the big plan. Get the group to discuss and ask any questions about the current plan. Then get each person to present their goals with the rest of the group clarifying it as they go along. Finally divide them in sub groups and facilitate as they work together to synergies their plans and group mission. Finally get them to agree to and sign off on it.
