Business jargon is words and phrases used by business employees to convey unique ideas and directions, such as working too hard, sending information to clients or giving mid-level employees more authority. Why should you avoid using technical jargon with customers :; … inappropriate or overuse can also make communication more challenging for your customers and lead to confusion, disengagement and people feeling excluded; customers is that the use of these words and phrases can mislead customers in to believing that they are being talked down to and being purposefully confused.

Use visuals like charts and infographics to cut through complexity. Most importantly, listen—understand your client's baseline knowledge and tailor your language to meet them there. Once, a client told me, “You made finance feel like storytelling.” The goal isn’t to impress with jargon but to empower with clarity. Speak to inform, not to intimidate.

There's nothing new. Sometime back it was blockchain, SAAS, then ML, now Gen AI. Long ago there was something called Y2K!(Remember it?). Truth is someone comes up with these buzz words and rips off gullible clients. Others latch onto these words so that they sound 'with it' and current, even if they don't understand head or tail of it. Don't fall into the trap of trying to make sense of them. Use simple language and work on first principles. You should be good.
