Everything is always harder that we want it to be, and we always under estimate the effort, the time, the tasks, and the difficulties. And the hard part about projects is that we've never done this exact thing before, so we just have to do our best to guess. As a leader - I know it's going to go sideways, not just sometimes, lot's of times. But please don't hide. Don't lie to me. Don't put on a rosy face. I need you to be honest so we can get you the resources you need. We're all on the same team, even if it's your fault we're behind, we'll learn. Just communicate early and often, and we'll all get to work making it better.
