What innovative data collection methods can improve program evaluation?
Program evaluation is the process of assessing the effectiveness, efficiency, relevance, and sustainability of a program or intervention. It can help program managers and stakeholders to learn from the results, improve the design and implementation, and communicate the value and impact of the program. However, traditional data collection methods, such as surveys, interviews, and focus groups, may have some limitations, such as low response rates, bias, and high costs. Therefore, program managers need to explore innovative data collection methods that can enhance the quality and utility of program evaluation. In this article, we will discuss four examples of such methods and how they can benefit program evaluation.
