I think one thing which can cause serious problem if overlooked today is data privacy and data protection.With small small IoT devices deployed all over, this assumes even more importance. Most of the IoT devices somehow get involved into data collection so here comes into play the importance of data protection and privacy. I will recommend to ensure compliance with data protection regulations and privacy laws of the country/region , such as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) of EU or CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), or DPDPA of India when collecting, storing, or processing personal or sensitive data from IoT devices. Implement data encryption, anonymization, and access controls to protect privacy and comply with regulations.
