I once learned this technique called Imago technique where we reflect, validate, and empathise. While practicing this, one person speaks while the other person reflects back to what they’ve heard, validates speaker’s feelings, and express empathy. Doing this helps develop understanding which is very important to reduce speaker’s defensiveness. I will encourage this as it will help me shift the focus from differences to collaborative problem solving.

Taking guidance from champion of subject and introducing his idea to team and needed then again repeating the process till a more aggreable solution formulated.
