I strongly support conveying the purpose and importance of Information Security policies through visuals rather than in word/pdf based policies. I personally use doodle app to create short animated videos conveying the essence of Infosec policies. I make sure that my videos: - Clearly outline the objectives of the video - Integrate real-life scenarios or case studies to demonstrate the practicality -Keep the language formal, clear, and concise -Use high-quality visuals to enhance engagement along with little humor -Add interactive elements like quizzes, polls, or puzzles - Most Imp, Incorporate a mechanism for feedback at the end for betterment

There should be LMS or employee management portal where you share the policies snd procedures. Timely refreshers mandatory courses for employees and reminders sent to all employees and some reward point system so employees can actively participate in it that helps to adhere organizational policies as well.

The biggest challenge with Information Security Policies are that they are boring and nobody wants to read them. Imagine Claire. She just got to her desk, coffee in hand with 3 tasks already overdue and now she needs to complete routine InfoSec policy training. She rolls here eyes and replies 'done' without even opening the content. She's already so stretched with her actual daily tasks that she doesn't have the time to read through pages of text that she actually even can't relate to. Someone coughs. A phone rings. You will likely need to edit the video to make it the best option. Prepare: * Script * Lighting * Background * Surroundings * Mute devices * Close other apps * Prepare those around * Control distractions Once you have a video created, as difficult as it is to listen to your own voice, listen / watch it. Gameification , interactive videos, stories have been proven as a great way of learning. Embedding these in you organisation to make respective teams aware of policies, best practices etc is a great investment with proven results.

It's a balance between making a video that is great story telling and not being too long. I performed a bake off with a sample of our team at one company and asked them to review a sample of security awareness videos and provide feedback. I expected that they would love the videos from one vendor - they were well thought out, entertaining, and had great production values. However, they were also fairly long. In the end, they preferred the shorter trainings that got to the point. They were still well made and entertaining, but much shorter.

Udemy is best example for this. But in some of tutorials we see poor audio and poor communication skills. So for better way to describe information security policies we need good communication, good audio and video setup. Also evaluation from other people matters a lot.

As far as I understand information security is not only one man's job rather it is everyone's job to secure the information within a organisation. If we are asking the employees to read the lengthy policy document not all but few of them feel boring. So, it sounds good to create short duration videos for information security policy for instance part-I, part-II and so on as that will make employees curious about the whole policy content to implement in their daily routine and will help them to memorize it to make themselves self aware about the cyber hygiene and they will be also contributing for the information security posture of the organisation from external threats and attacks being employees abide by the information security policy.
