Instead of support, i prefer term “educate” LGBTQ don’t need support they are already on fire and creating dominance. We need to educate people around this - this is personal choice - instead of going against “accept it” - show them globally - show them LGBTQ success stories

I would do all of these simple because everything about LGBT changes every day. Plus I would rather be educated myself . I believe love and respect is all the communication is asking at work and in the public. And just be normal like they don’t need any one blowing things out of proportion.

Bias and stereotypes are very deep seated beliefs, sometimes the person who holds may be conscious about them but many a times they are unconscious. Challenging bias and stereotypes require 1. representation hence invite and hire people from the community, 2.have a zero tolerance policy, 3. Promote psychological safety where individuals without any fear can challenge the stereotypes 4. Train & Develop allies - putting the burden on the community to call out stereotypes may exhaust them further. Allies play an important role, as the risk involved is minimal 5. Train individuals to accept feedback not as a character flaw but a learning process For the organisation it is an ongoing process and they need to be intentional about it.

When it comes to demonstrating commitment, workplaces must make diversity, equity and inclusion an integral part of their DNA. Zero tolerance towards unsafe, discriminatory and harmful behaviour must be maintained by creating systems of accountability. I think if you create an environment like this community or this group of people need to be respected, its a wrong message. Because everyone is aware and society is more inclusive now. Rather there should be no special identification associated with any person, everyone is by default to be respected and be inclusive towards each other regardless of their identity. So people are already aware and don’t need more education but only the right mindset to move above gender or any kind of differences. It’s more of hiring the people with right mindset these days I think.
