After taking the time to build this relationship, then you've earned the right to offer up your product/service that will help them fulfill their wants and needs.

Throughout my work career, I find one thing that will help me to get thru to the decission makers are DATA. Get prepared for the meet by gathering details and data for the meeting. Know your data. you need to be able to present and view point thru simple datas. Let them make the decisions.
