When I worked in a retail store, any waste was marked as unable to sell and thrown away. What a waste!!! Companies should liase with local charities and homeless shelters to donate these items for those who need it. It's no big loss to the company and can provide food for those who may be unable to buy their own. This can also apply to clothing and other retail industries, we should not be disposing of items that can be reused or come 'pre loved' in 2023, especially with landfills growing bigger and bigger!.
