Learn to know the front line employees and understand what they need to excel in order to bring value to the customer. Develop a plan to get them what they need to succeed.Then take that plan to the decision-makers, being prepared to have to do so over, and over again. Take what you can get, and show leaders how those changes are of value. Then get some more! Know you are playing the long game. Employees who excel want to constantly stretch, so don't be the obstacle to that ambition. Be the catalyst for it! This leads to nothing but success for the company and satisfied employees who are willing to take chances. Change is hard, but good!
