Empowering Teams is a trip on razors edge. You need the team to be close enough so they feel comfortable discussing challenges, and asking each other for help. But trying to force this culture can lead to the members being annoyed, anxious and unproductive as a result. I always found the best way to get a Team talking is to meet up at least once, and spend 2 days together not just working but going for a bite to eat, maybe go out after. Once you know someone better you also work better with them.
