The question is very general and as it describing a longitudinal research across years. Although, uncertainty during research project have one meaning research results/ findings or data is not accurate nor reliable and this is a consequence and result for all previous project steps, the solution is set clear expectations and plan b for your project, reflect directly on all small and big notes and don’t overwhelm you and your team with many projects that might affect the perfect execution If the time allows pause your project to revisit all suspended aspects, make bold actions to stay align with your goals and objectives

I'd reframe the uncertainty as an opportunity get new insights firstly. For example this shift could be an emerging trend. I'd cross-check the data against multiple sources and combine qualitative feedback, reports etc. to get a better picture of whats actually happening. Scenario planning and engaging with the customers (surveys, interviews etc.) are also invaluable in navigating this opportunity (uncertainty). I’d monitor the data and strategies regularly. Instead of having a fixed long-term plan, so I can adjust things as new information comes in. Flexibility is key!
