Be honest and truthful about how the change will affect cost and schedule. If the customer understands and is willing to accept those ramifications, then make the change for them. The customer has to live with the building forever. Their long term happiness is more important than the contractor’s schedule.

I also implement a structured change management process, set realistic expectations with the client, and include contingency planning to mitigate delays and disruptions effectively.

Establish delivery periods and progress and review meetings Explain the progress and technical recommendations to be applied Comply with the established work programs and if any deviation is seen, inform them in advance and provide the alternative to recover possible impacts. Be their ally and keep them informed of the development of the project

First of all set the time line. Put every time line in project management Software and monitor. For any deviation do the make up plan. Give free hand to the project team . Provide enough funds for managing the emergency.

In my experience i will say this can be achieved by 1- Setting smart objectives which means realistic timelines 2- Next will be to use a project management software like the Gant chat to breakdown the steps and highlight when each task starts, ends or go parallel to each other. 3- Setting short terms goals 4- Effective communication up down and 2 way. 5- Monitor output and performance while celebrating short term wins. 6- Resource allocation is vital at each step.
