When teaching a diverse group of learners, I make sure to create an environment where everyone feels seen and valued. I adapt my teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles, whether that’s through visual aids, hands-on activities, or verbal explanations. I also foster an atmosphere of open communication, encouraging students to share their perspectives and respecting their unique backgrounds. I actively listen to their needs and try to be flexible, offering support when necessary, and making sure everyone has an equal opportunity to participate and succeed. It’s about recognizing and embracing the diversity in the room to make the learning experience enriching for all.

There are mainly three types of learners- Visual, Auditory and Kinesthetic. So identifying what type of learner the student is helps immensely in catering to their needs and this leads to overall inclusivity in class. For instance, a visual learner would fare well if they are shown colour-coded notes, graphics and videos while auditory learners- verbal repetition and lucid language teaching help a lot. For Kinesthetic learners having frequent breaks and engaging them in discussions lets them grasp concepts better. But everyone is on a gradient of these main types so there isn't really a one size fits all solution but understanding the student's background gives us some insight on how to make the class more inclusive and respectful.

This is so that you would know how to include all of them in your lessons. You should also use language that isn't too hard for them to comprehend especially if they are from countries that only speak their own mother tongue. This is so that they would be able to understand the lessons. You should also use things like visual tools when explaining the lessons. This is ti make it easier for them to understand it.
