If you struggle with ROI, data analytics should not be your first tool to throw at the problem. Instead, use common sense to asses the situation. Are you just starting out? Then, simply focus on the basics and best practices. Those will keep you busy for at least 2 years and are almost guaranteed to deliver the highest ROI. Once you are done with the basics, you can start thinking about where to invest time and effort for optimal ROI.

Data analytics tells you how much traffic your keywords are pulling and what the conversion on each keyword is. If you are getting a lot of traffic and little conversions, you are either not attracting the right audience or your page isn’t speaking right with them. They are different problems and should be tackled differently. Be sure you know who your ideal audience really are. Know what their actual problems are and what they are searching for. Now use keywords that align with those searches. If you start driving the right traffic and still have low conversions, well, increasing website conversions is what I do.
