Utilizing short time slots effectively can make a substantial difference. I found that even brief intervals, such as 15-20 minutes, could be productive. These short bursts were used for quick learning activities, such as reading articles or watching tutorial videos, enabling continuous learning even amidst a busy schedule. Further, integrating learning into daily routines maximizes productivity. During commutes, I listened to educational podcasts and audiobooks, turning previously idle time into valuable learning opportunities. This approach ensured that I remained engaged with my learning goals throughout the day.

Balancing learning with a busy schedule requires strategic time management and prioritization. -Begin by setting clear, achievable learning goals and breaking them into smaller tasks. -Use a planner or digital tool to schedule dedicated learning time, treating it as a non-negotiable commitment. -Prioritize tasks by urgency and importance, using techniques like the Eisenhower Matrix. -Incorporate learning into daily routines, such as listening to audiobooks during commutes. -Limit distractions by creating a focused environment and setting boundaries. -Regularly review and adjust your schedule to stay flexible and realistic. Consistent, incremental progress ensures effective learning without overwhelming your schedule.

Hello LinkedIn friends, 👋 I recommend you👇🏽 1. Time block for the most important tasks. 2. Ask your tribe and family to support you more with certain chores or activities such as making dinner, housework etc. Don’t be afraid to ask for help. Leverage your community. 3. Go to bed earlier, more rest for maximum productivity each day and watch less TV. 4. Pray for strength to help get through the toughest times. 5. Understanding the true difference between just being busy and being productive. Less is more!

Perhaps your starting point should be to recognise that learning comes in all shapes and sizes. Much is learning on the job/by doing/connecting with others to understand on specific tasks new to you. Formal learning or courses is only a tiny part of all the learning we do. Think about all you have achieved this week, what did I do differently, what learnings can I take forward? Do this 1x a week to distill your on the job learning into a coherent framework you can take forward. Reread your performance review and understand your core strengths, development areas and the steps you agreed to take. What one step can you take this week towards those development goals? What else could you do? Commit to each step by a date & progress from there.
