Using post-survey feedback is key to improving future events: 1. Categorizing Feedback: I sort feedback into themes like logistics and content quality to identify common strengths and areas for improvement. For example, frequent comments about session length might lead to offering longer discussions next time. 2. Action Plan: I develop a clear plan with specific goals based on the feedback, such as enhancing networking opportunities or adjusting session formats. Measurable targets help track progress, like increasing networking interactions by 20%. 3. Engaging Respondents: Following up with participants to show how their input led to changes fosters a sense of value and community, building loyalty.

👏🏻 It’s critical to get a large sample of feedback. The best way to do that is with real time surveys throughout the conference. Have feedback surveys easily accessible via QR codes everywhere: at the door, embedded in speakers’ presentations, etc. 🗣️ Monitor feedback as it comes in. Attendees will be delighted if feedback is enacted upon before the end of a conference, whether for one person or the whole crowd. People talk about these experiences forever. David Rock did this at a Neuroleadership Institute conference around 2017. He wove science into the rationale while doing it and shared openly. People I attended the conference with still talk about that moment today! NLI conferences are consistently in the Top 10 Globally. Legend!
