For me, the most effective consideration is respecting their personal time. Working remotely does not mean that your team is working 24/7 and must answer you at 2am and then give hours later at 7am! When are they expected to sleep? Also if you give them the weekend off, respect that and do nit call them on the weekend to demand submission of a big project in the Monday morning. This would require them to work on that weekend. Understand that boundaries still need to be put in place as work-life balance prevents mental burnout and loss of motivation.

By focusing on mutual respect and supporting one another, I aim to create a productive and healthy remote work environment for everyone.

Expecting instant replies or overloading with meetings are wrong moves. Balance is the key. Support autonomy while staying connected.

Time zones can be a blessing if used well in remote teams (follow-the-sun principle). However, if team members feel they have to answer messages synchronously, this can cause burn-out and resentment across borders. It's also important to have social catch-ups so that you can find out how your colleagues are doing on the other side of the globe. This will keep morale going!
