One of the most effective strategies I’ve used is creating a 𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒓 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏 or 𝒓𝒐𝒂𝒅𝒎𝒂𝒑 for them. When new hires know what to expect and how each activity ties back to their roles, they’re far less likely to feel overwhelmed. Frequent check-ins are helpful. These conversations give you a chance to gauge how they’re feeling, answer questions, and adjust the pace if needed. Assigning a mentor adds another layer of support, creating a safe space for open communication and continuous learning. Above all, make sure every activity aligns with their tasks and responsibilities. When new employees see the “why” behind their training, it builds clarity and confidence.
