The best example of online meeting facilitation in my opinion right now is Infobusiness, these guys know a lot about meeting facilitation and here are a couple of things I know from them: 1. Warm up the audience and keep them awake, start meetings with introductions, give an introduction to who you are and what the audience will get out of the meeting 2. Then throw in hooks like "stay until the end, you will get a bonus that...", this will allow the audience to be more engaged 3. also stop every once in a while and let people say what they think, comment on something, because listening to someone all the time can get tiring

If you are using a platform like the Engage platform then you can create smaller breakout groups and use virtual whiteboards to generate ideas and make the meeting more interactive and collaborative.
