First I have to set up one-on-one meetings for each member of my team. Then schedule meeting using right and effectively tools, such as SharePoint or MS Teams and video conferencing, instant messaging, and email. Making strategic plans for each member capacity and skills as per monthly or annual task. Clear and consistent communication is key for setting expectations. Flexible meeting times and availability, and to ensure that all team members have access to necessary resources and information. At the end of work or task complimenting them on their hard work and team work and communication skills. Give them feedback.

The insights you gain by learning their communication styles can help a full team communicate better, as well as for everyone to grow, including yourself. Not everyone feels comfortable talking in front of others - even in a small meeting. I always make sure to listen to everyone’s perspective whether they speak at a team meeting, talk to me in person privately or send me their insight in an email, etc. Every member of the team needs to be heard in order to work efficiently and harmoniously together. I do also say that we may all have differing views but there is always a way to arrive at the same vision and goal while respecting each other’s viewpoints even if we do not always agree with them. “Agreeing to disagree” while still working for the common goal is certainly attainable - as well as the different communication needs among members - remote and otherwise.
