Let's keep it simple: 1. Benchmark leaders in your specific industry while doing your market research. 2. Define your target audience + KPIs you'd want your product, and eventually, your company to achieve. What would you like the product to achieve for you in first 3 months of launch? - Ask these types of questions. 3. Don't put all eggs in one basket, you're running a business and you need to be smart in terms of risk vs reward. If you don't have a safety net in case your product struggles; it means you're out of business as all company funds were utilised there. And lastly, don't launch products because everyone is doing it. Only do it if it aligns with your company's vision, values, is sustainable and fuelled by passion.

When determining how much risk to take, I take the leadership through the proposed plan to highlight and surface any additional risks and the level of risk associated with their concerns. I use data and customer insights to determine how much can be mitigated. If concerns still exist, I may do a pilot to help determine how we can mitigate the risks and share the lessons learned with the team. Those real-world insights will help us land on how we mitigate and balance those risks.
