Navigating tight deadlines in IA design without compromising accessibility is possible with a strategic approach. First, make accessibility a non-negotiable part of every stage in your project plan. This involves setting clear accessibility targets and reviewing them as you progress. Employ automation tools that flag accessibility concerns instantly, enabling quick rectifications that don't derail your timeline. Moreover, continual education for your team about the critical nature of accessibility ensures that it remains a high priority. By embedding these practices into your workflow, you not only meet deadlines but also create accessible designs that serve all users effectively.

IA design doesn’t have much to do with accessibility, rather, accessibility requirements need to be established as a result of a clear UX strategy, and elaboration of definition of done for enabler and development teams to adopt and evolve through initial delivery phases.

I embed accessibility early, use patterns, prioritize key areas, test iteratively, collaborate closely, and document for efficiency.

Tight deadlines in IA design can overshadow accessibility, risking inclusivity and compliance. Prioritize key flows, leverage accessible design systems, and test early to balance speed with inclusivity.

Inclusive design is a key part of a successful project, accessibility should never be left behind but in fact it should be part of the project task. Know your audience and take critical steps. Buttons and text element placement are key in the IA design process. Integrate Accessibility from the start and have a checklist along the way. Use research tools to bring awareness of inclusive design in the working team. Document sprint spikes if any for future maintenance, updates and auditing. This will prevent accessibility from being squeezed out at the end due to time constraints.
