What I myself have done in the past is; 1) Having a short one-on-one meeting with subordinates when they are underperforming or; when it seems that they are having a personal agenda which is degrading team spirit. 2) Giving a motivational speech which will pave way to address 'The Elephant In The Room'; but without name calling or putting anyone publicly in the spotlight. 3) Sincerely making them understand the expectations of their job title; so that they have guidelines to move forward in the right direction where organisational objectives are met without misunderstandings. These are just a few things that can be done -of course. But in the above situations the opportunity is given to ask questions and or explain themselves. 🤝

Negociar con responsabilidad ,honestidad para crear un vínculo de confianza a largo plazo.

Such a case should be looked at with similar ( not identical)lens as one would do corporate or any other professional industry, paricularly at the highest level of sport. Athletes and/or players are no different from workers in any other industry who are paid for their expertise. Policies and company/team statements issued, or open discussions held by the company/team or whoever, should leave stakeholders with the understanding that salary disparity is derived from a merit-based system. The provision of non-pecuniary benefits which cover basic needs/wants such as health insurance coverage or grants where possible, to supplement salary packages for those negatively affected may provide some aid to morale.
