I feel giving relatable analogies and examples gives better understanding to technically non-related audience. Focus on the way its going to impact with demonstrable analogy which every one can correlate either through past experience or logical understanding

My experience is that EMI is easier to explain than EMC. Never the less it´s still part of the black magic of the analog world fewer and fewer understand today. Identify the roles of the stakeholders, and angle the presentation with the impact to the actual audience. Sales want to sell, leagal don't want issues etc.
