Be open to showing vulnerability in lighthearted way - e.g. "I was not expecting that so I hope ai can do my best" Make a joke a share a story associated with the topic/location/context. Use right balance of logic and passion to fuel your pitch!

They don’t know what you didn’t say, so relax. Read the room, think about any theme or goal. Share a personal or professional story that connects. Be brief, be bright and be gone!
-
First off, center on the truth - not what you imagine will happen this time or what you think you remember from last time, but on what is actually true right now. There is a microphone. There is a dais, lights, and 237 chairs. The carpet is red and gold, and slightly threadbare. This is called grounding. Now, take two fast deep inhales and one long exhale. Remember: 1) It's impromptu, no on expects perfection. 2) No one will know what you didn't say so relax about trying to remember everything. 3) Love the audience. That's right. Say to yourself "If I loved them what would I do right now, what is the most useful and caretaking thing I could say." 4) Use a structuring formula if it helps, I use "2 things/2 things." IM for free details.

When I’m faced with speaking at an impromptu event, conquering stage fright starts with a deep breath and a shift in mindset. I remind myself that it’s not about perfection—it’s about connection. I focus on one clear message or story that aligns with the audience, keeping my delivery simple and authentic. I make eye contact, smile, and treat the audience like a conversation, not a performance. If nerves creep in, I channel that energy into enthusiasm. The key is trusting my experience and speaking from the heart. Impromptu moments often create the most genuine and impactful connections.

-
Remind yourself of this being something you have wanted to do. It’s an opportunity to perform what is passionate to you, and share through servitude a message that has the ability to transform other people’s lives. This thought process can be enough to give you the calmness, confidence, and clarity to deliver something special in a way only you can do.

A preparação precede o improviso.
