Los recursos más valiosos a la hora de aprender sobre cualquier tema de programación en general siguen siendo los libros. En este medio encuentras una base sólida de conocimientos donde se puede profundizar sobre el tema de tu interés, por ejemplo: puedes buscar un libro de algoritmos o un libro de programación orientada objetos, esto te permite tener una mayor base de conocimiento sobre la programación en general que no encuentras en un bootcamp o curso en x plataforma en el que el objetivo sea simplemente desarrollar un proyecto guiado. Al final para programar de una manera eficiente debes conocer las bases teóricas de la programación y sin duda alguna esto lo encuentras en los libros… después de esto moverte entre lenguajes es "fácil".

Puedes mezclar sin problemas el aprendizaje analógico con el digital. Cada mundo tiene sus propias ventajas y desventajas y puedes jugar con ello. Puede ser que tengas fatiga de estar en la computadora y desees ir a una biblioteca o a algún café y llevar un libro de ingeniería de software. O quizá quieras desconectar del trabajo en la oficina o casa y pudieras leer algún libro de experiencia de usuario en la playa.

For me, books are a second option. First I study with videos and when I have an acceptable level I don't improve with books, but not the other way around.

One of the best ways to learn something new is by trying to apply it somehow. When you’re starting off you need to have a bit of a challenge, and the project has to be interesting to you. It can be super simple or a bit more complex, and that way, through tutorials and research most people end up being able to do their first project. Step by step you can end up learning a whole lot. I taught myself in this way, before I got a formal education in the topic, and I would recommend it to anyone. It might not be the quickest way but it definitely makes you appreciate the small wins along the way.

Practice and Projects should be the thing you do daily. Your goal: mastery. All those "see, it's easy" demos are toys that reinforce the lie: "I can learn a language in a week" A real project is bound by the constraints of the past. You need the little skills to see you through. How to find something in a list, account for null, use the common libraries, how do I do it without the library. As fast as you can, learn how to do all the patterns and practices in your new language. But you must also learn to know when you "should" use a pattern. e.g. If I say, "OOP in Python can be used sparingly" and you immediately reach for "well, Python has objects", you have missed the point. Your job is to know how, and also to know when.

With due respect to all the people learning via other means, I can advocate for putting the skills acquired to some use and build, as any skills not getting used will weather with time and force you to start from scratch the next time you wish to employ it. Building a project will enforce the learning and make it long-lasting. From my personal experience I can say that no matter how good the quality of resources and mentors we learn the skills from, if we are not practising and making projects I can assure you it will fade away. Morover if we are not making real projects we will not be able to understand the actual shortcomings and problems that come along the way.

If i summarize this answer then... If i have 2 months to prepare then I will pick the official manual of language with some practice. If I have one month then I will use some popular books of that language with some practice. If i have 15 days I will pick some video course where I can do parellel hands on of that language. If i have 1 week than i Wii pick some cheat sheet and just went through it and will go deep where I feel need With practice. If i have no time 😄 than I would like to first start project and learn language concepts parallelly on need basis.

After learning to jump into 3 projects on that language basic ,mid and hard to explore different concepts and explore different projects of performing projects different database and technology

When starting to learn anything we should always follow that up with practice. This helps in 2 ways. You can learn from your mistakes and hence get an even better understanding of the product or language and secondly you will be left with something to show for at the end of the day which will help a lot when trying to add those skill sets to your resume
