One thing I would add: If you can help to establish communication norms in your team/organization, it can go a long way, as many people have different working patterns. That might look like "email has an SLA of two business days; slack has an SLA of one business day; if you have a truly urgent message and it is outside of normal working hours, you can text, and the SLA is 2 hours for that. Texting must be saved to truly important and urgent issues." Then you'll know that emails and slacks are not meant to be urgent pulls on your time - and everyone can feel confident that they will know how to get help.
