You need to be curious, motivated, and self-directed in pursuing new knowledge and skills. You also need to be open-minded, flexible, and willing to experiment with new ideas, technologies, and methods. There are many ways to accomplish a task, As an electronics designer, i could design any circuit in more than one way, with different building blocks and all would work. There was no right way other than that the methodology was sound and therefore the design works... confirmation.
