First thing as a designer it is important to have knowledge of both the domains. The pros and cons of all aspects to be discussed on the table. It is important to listen what both the teams are saying. Design , development and marketing goes hand in hand. The market team should assure the quality to be delivered and the development team is responsible for getting upto that quality and design is the one that make things easy for both the teams. Easy the ux ,easy the development and which leads the marketing.
