As a product manager, I would conduct weekly customer advisory board calls as a strategic 2-way communication mechanism. The 1st half would be dedicated to deeply understanding customers' current product experiences, exploring their workflow challenges, pain points, and unmet needs. During the 2nd half, I'd strategically showcase our innovation pipeline through detailed prototypes and Figma designs, not just demonstrating what's possible but actively soliciting immediate, contextual feedback. This approach transforms these calls into a collaborative product dev forum, ensuring our roadmap is both market-driven and customer-validated, reducing dev risk and increasing the likelihood of creating solutions that resonate with our users' needs.

In my experience, user feedback is like a map to uncover hidden treasure—it shows you where to dig. While working with a B2C client in the healthcare domain, we noticed recurring feedback about difficulty navigating their app. By analyzing these patterns, we realized users prioritized simplicity over features. Instead of adding more tools, we streamlined the design, significantly improving satisfaction. I strongly feel that identifying these trends helps you focus on the right problems, ensuring your innovation solves what truly matters to users.
