I recall something like this, a couple of years ago, our team hit a project roadblock. The reason was infrequent project reviews. Moreover, there was misalignment among stakeholders. The initial project plan missed some key elements emerged later, that not expected. The team, overburdened with multiple projects, failed to prioritize critical tasks. It was more of a reactive approach. To overcome this, we conducted internal reviews, identified the issues, and took corrective actions. We updated the project plan and involved all stakeholders. By fostering open communication and working together, we regained momentum.

I know the goal is to move forward, but to me, the first thing to do is to step back—really define the problem at a deep level. Once you understand what the project is and where it came from, then you can see where you may need to go back to a missed step in the process, negotiate goals and objectives, and decide where to go from there. At this point, if we're still stuck, work backwards, brainstorming the resources and options we have available to us (without necessarily targeting the specific problem yet). Then you look at all those things and say "what can we make of this?" That should spark some creativity.
