Evaluate the root cause by gathering feedback from the team on missing tools or skills. Select an acute approach, for instance schedule relevant informative sessions, provide essential resources or redesign roles and responsibilities. To ensure that progress is evaluated, then the development of clear milestones needs to be made. At one time, I realized my team had no analytical means for a campaign. It took me little time to get the authorization to join the software and offered basic instructions. In a matter of weeks, productivity increased again together with prompt results showing how the timely action together with the right assistance can motivate the performers.

Always start with uncovering the root cause. Start an open dialogue to understand where gaps in training or resources are holding them back. As a manager and leader one of your biggest roles is to help remove barriers and challenges for your team constantly. Once I have clarity, I focus on immediate solutions: providing targeted training, reallocating resources, reprioritizing tasks or projects, or streamlining processes to reduce inefficiencies. Setting realistic, short-term goals that build momentum and confidence is also important. Beyond addressing the immediate issues, we also discuss long-term strategies—e.g. investing in professional development and creating systems that help us level up our team competencies.
