Found it useful to start with a risk taking activity that is small and where the effects of the risk can be contained. Gradually introduce larger scale leaps as the team grows in confidence. Found that reaching out further is not so much about how much we can gain when we stretch ourselves. It was more about learning to take that risk together.

I’d start by sharing examples of past projects where taking a small risk paid off big, and make sure they understand it’s all about balancing creativity with practicality. I also encourage an open environment where failure isn’t seen as the end of the world but as a learning opportunity. By reassuring them that it’s okay to step out of their comfort zone and experiment, I help them feel more confident in trying new things. It’s all about fostering a culture where creative risks are celebrated, not feared!
